Benefits of using Keysearch
In this post, I will guide us, busy parents here on how to fast-track using this brilliant tool, Keysearch to find the golden nugget on which topic to write.
Keysearch enables us to uncover trending topics and evergreen keywords that can inspire compelling blog post ideas
Keysearch offers keyword suggestions and competitive analysis features that can help us create captivating blog titles that resonate with our audience and drive traffic to our site.
Choosing a keyword
I must first emphasize the importance of doing a keyword research in writing a blog. It is crucial to emphasize the significance of conducting proper keyword research before writing a blog.
A well-executed keyword search can significantly increase traffic to our blog. It is important to optimize our blog correctly because, without enough traffic, there will be no income. Unless you are writing the blog for personal reference, it is essential to prioritize optimizing it for search engines.
Keysearch has this helpful dropdown bar as you can see above that consists of
- Keyword Research
- Quick Difficulty
- My Lists
- Brainstorm
Step 1
To come out with new ideas, go to BRAINSTORM. Look for keywords that are related to our blog. There will be many irrelevant keywords, remove them.
Repeat this step for other keywords we have in mind. For example, we have a blog all about babies. We want to generate at least 50 more keyword ideas. Samples as below:- – Benefits of sleep training – When do we start to sleep train a toddler – Sleep training schedule – Sleep training tips – How to sleep train a toddler This step helps us to create endless blogging ideas with the help of Keysearch. |
Step 2
QUICK DIFFICULTY – This is an amazing tool as it allows us to copy and paste our findings from Step 1 up to 50 keywords.
Do this step, copy and paste into excel and remove Score that is red.
Now we are able to narrow down keywords that stand a chance that we can rank for.
Step 3
In my example, I will be using a seed keyword that we’ve found from Step 2. Example as below.
HOW TO SLEEP TRAIN A TODDLER
By using the first keyword type it into the first dropdown bar KEYWORD RESEARCH. Set to all locations/specific country that we are targeting.
Result of the findings will be shown as the above.
Volume score above 100 and keyword difficulty score below 40 (green or blue) is GOOD. |
Filter with the condition as stated above.
Congratulations! Now we have a handful of targeted keywords for our blog posts.
Steps that can’t be ignored
- SERP analysis
- Topical Authority
When we type something into a search engine like Google, the page that pops up with all the results is what we call the SERP. It’s where we see links to websites, ads, snippets of information, and more. SEO is all about making sure our website shows up higher on these SERPs, so people are more likely to click on it. Understanding how the SERP works helps us figure out how to get our websites noticed by the right people.
Look closer at the DA column. This may just an estimation of authority but it serves as a guideline if we get a chance to rank for the specific keyword.
Topical authority essentially refers to being recognized as the primary source for information on a particular subject. It’s akin to being the expert that people turn to when they seek knowledge about something specific. Therefore, having topical authority signifies that we’ve established credibility and trust within our niche, which is invaluable for distinguishing ourselves in the vast online landscape.
Ideally, we should cover all topics within the same niche, even if they don’t have much traffic, as long as they make sense to interlink with other blog posts.
Make our judgement and it’s important to assess and research if the blog post with the keyword targeted is worth our time. to write.
Every season must do
Nobody ever promised that blogging is a get-rich-quick scheme. It often requires an aged site to be able to be making some money. It often takes time and effort to see significant returns.
However, tools like Keysearch can make the journey a lot smoother by helping us identify the right keywords to optimize our content for better search engine rankings. With the right strategy and persistence, we can gradually build our site’s authority and eventually start generating income from our blog.
The algorithm changes frequently and to keep up with the updates, we perform keyword research every season. The process doesn’t take much time, usually half to a full day, but it helps us to maximize our SEO.
Conclusion
Now that we have our main keyword phrase, remember to always insert them into the following:-
- Title
- URL
- Meta (the bit in the Yoast SEO plugin that’s a short summary of search engine results)
- First paragraph
- Images ALT tag
- H2 subheading (at least one)
- Naturally scattered multiple times elsewhere
- Anchor text, in links from other blog posts to this one
